Photos From Our Week

Writing and revising poetry

Gregory MacNaughton from Reed College’s Cooley Gallery hosted Team 20 last week to view and discuss the current Supports/Surfaces exhibit.

Team 20 and many other Lewis classrooms participated in an Hour of Code.  Kids are continuing code.org activities with Mr. Jamesbarry during technology and can sign in to code.org from home with their Google Account to continue working on code activities.  Here’s more about Hour of Code: http://hourofcode.com/us

Practicing for place value understanding of multi-digit division

Workshop time included a focus on Native American group presentations.  A second part to this assignment, the Native American dwelling homework, is also due on Wednesday, December 17th, and should include the required three elements -- a dwelling, an artifact, and a spirit animal.  These three elements should be displayed on a platform that is approximately 12” by 24”.  All elements should be labeled and explained.  Here’s a link to the Native American dwelling homework assignment sheet and several examples from Ms. Natalie: http://goo.gl/l1rNlm.
