Multiplication

Multiplication Strategies


Teachers tend to teach multiplication facts in this order: x2, x5, x10, x3, x4, x6, x9, x8, x7).  Here is a condensed explanation of multiplication strategies for this sequence.

Flash Cards


For flash cards, type your first name only, choose the multiplication operation, and then select a number that you are working on.

Practicing one fact family at a time can be a useful strategy. For example, you can practice your x3 using the strategy listed above: multiply by two and then add one more group.
