Classroom Notes

Greetings!

The Lewis Food Drive to benefit Oregon Food Bank continues through Friday the 4th.  Team 20 kids made colored pencil and watercolor signs to get the word out, which are now on display around the school.  We also met with our buddies in Mrs. Logue's first grade to make posters for the hallways.  Here's more info about Oregon Food Bank’s most wanted foods and a public service announcement made by Team 20.

This week, kids shared the photo stories they wrote, practiced division with remainders, explored Newton’s Three Laws of Motion during Reed Science, and programmed with Scratch during technology class.

I am excited to share that Egg Press will be donating 80 card kits to Lewis fourth grades to that we can all participate in their Write_On Challenge this April to write 30 letters in 30 days. Families are welcome to join us in this challenge by going to writeoncampaign.com to request a Write_On kit beginning March 1st. You are also welcome to donate to their campaign. We thank Egg Press for their generous support!

Mark
